Spectrum Generations - Runs the Aging and Disability Resource Center for Lincoln County, with an office in Damariscotta. It connects residents with options counseling, caregiver support, Medicare and insurance guidance, and referrals for services such as Meals on Wheels, legal assistance, and adult day programs. Spectrum Generations is the primary entry point for individuals with disabilities and older adults who need help planning and accessing local or long-term supports.

Eldercare Network of Lincoln County - Operates small, homelike assisted living residences in towns including Boothbay, Damariscotta, Edgecomb, Jefferson, Round Pond, Waldoboro, and Wiscasset. These homes provide personalized, community-based care at lower cost than larger facilities, and they are the only assisted living option in the county that accepts MaineCare. This makes them especially important for residents with disabilities who need affordable, supportive housing.

Mobius, Inc. - Based in Damariscotta but servicing Lincoln County, offers disability services focused on independence and community inclusion. Programs include one-on-one and small-group community membership activities, job development, and on-the-job support. Mobius follows a strengths-based, person-centered model to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build skills, find employment, and remain connected to their communities.

Boothbay Region Resources​

Boothbay Region Community Resource Council (CRC) - Serving Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor, provides vital support for individuals facing a wide range of challenges. CRC offers information, referrals, fuel and heating assistance, a community fridge, rides, and a Community Navigator Program that helps families access essential needs. While not solely focused on disabilities, their role in coordinating services, including basic needs and crisis support, makes them an important resource for people with disabilities in the region.

MaineHealth’s Lincoln Rehabilitation Care - Available at the St. Andrews Campus in Boothbay Harbor. This includes physical, occupational, and speech therapy, aquatic therapy, and programs for fall prevention, pediatric developmental delays, and neurological conditions—delivered in a patient-focused manner to enhance independence.

Boothbay Region Health Center - Has expanded behavioral health services, providing psychiatric and holistic mental health support locally. Services include psychiatric care by Nurse Practitioner Jennie McNeil, plus behavioral support and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) provided by Elizabeth Lussier. They also offer support groups, including addiction recovery and wellness workshops. This addresses a previously unmet need for accessible mental health care in the region.

Boothbay Region Community Center - The “People Helping People” program supports seniors ,many of whom may have mobility or disability-related needs, by offering transportation, grocery runs, and social outings for a modest membership fee. Their Van Enrichment Trips enhance access to cultural and educational outings around the region at no extra cost.

Wiscasset General Assistance Program - Helps eligible residents meet basic needs like rent, food, utilities, fuel, and other essentials. Rather than giving cash, assistance is provided via vouchers. Applicants must apply for all eligible state benefits first. This program can help people with disabilities who are struggling financially and need help with essentials.

The Wiscasset Community Center (under Wiscasset Parks & Recreation) - A large recreation complex (35,000 sq ft) that includes a six-lane pool with a family alcove, hot tub, gymnasium, fitness room, and a senior center with a full kitchen. These facilities offer accessible recreation and socializing opportunities, especially useful for individuals with mobility or other impairments.

ElderCare Network - An assisted living facility providing 24-hour care, medication management, and social / recreational services. Assisted living can support people who may need help with daily living tasks or supervision but do not require full nursing care. County Office

Islebrook Village at Wiscasset - Offers multiple senior-living options: independent living, assisted living, and a memory care neighborhood. This will provide a continuum of care suitable for people with cognitive impairment (like dementia) or those whose needs increase over time.
