Breath & Shadow

Two Poems
written by
Robin Mayhall
"Cassini Looks at Saturn"
Ancient Phoebe,
Backward–rolling moon,
Are Saturn's other satellites
Your restless orphans?
When it roams your icy craters,
Will Cassini kiss and tell?
"Contentment"
The day
Pleasant and dry
Me
On the beach
White sand blue sky blue
Water
You
Brown as the sandpiper
Dark as
A weathered house, a wooden pier
Us
Lying still as the clouds hang
In the mirrored sky
Absorbing
The sun like sand dollars
