Nerves stripped holes in the sheath
Pins and needles tingles can’t just wake it up Seeing double double can’t just close one
eye White noise in ears too quiet can’t just turn it off Cigar fingers can’t just pick it up
Brain fog never clears can’t just take a nap Walk stop readjust walk stop balance can’t
just make it stop Can’t just give up
Karen Craig holds an MFA in Television/Video Production and a MA in Dramaturgy. She spent many years in the academic world teaching theatre, film studies, and television production. Ms. Craig is a member of the Writer’s Guild of Alberta and the Alexandra Writers Centre Society where she continues to develop her craft. She is currently working on the second draft of her first novel as well as the final edit of her novella. In 1997, Ms. Craig was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Over the years, the disease has caused pins and needles in her hands and feet, tinnitus in both ears, double vision, and now affects the function of her right arm and leg.
