Breath & Shadow

Winter 2012 - Vol. 9, Issue 1

"Your River"

written by

Achilleas Michailides

The waves uplift me

Into the Light I soar

Rotating and dissolving

See the tendrils of oblivion claiming me

When I die, baby, I want to become your breath

Borne on harmonies

flowing with the rhythm

of your river

Let me deep into you dive

Dilute me with your essence

merge, assimilate, incorporate

When I become reborn, baby, I want to be the blood in your veins...

Achilleas Michailides is a poet and fiction writer trying to ignore the limited mobility from his bad leg. This will be his first poetry publication. He lives over the pond, in Germany.
