"I Take This to The Grave"

Written By

Emily Kurc

i had never seen a ghost

until my body became a

graveyard and now i am

one of them.

i live amongst the stones

and the non-living

and at night, haunting

becomes a daily ritual.

we seek revenge with a

maddening hunger and watch

as the tears slip right through

our phantom limbs. there is

no satisfaction here.

closure tastes bare

by the time it reaches

the end of me.
