AbilityMaine has been providing news and resources of interest to the community of people with disabilities since Fall 2000. Over the years we have been funded through many sources. Continuing support has come from our sponsor, Resources for Organizing and Social Change (ROSC). They have enabled us to know that we will always be here for you. We have also received grants from The Bingham Program and the Maine Health Access Foundation. Both of these organizations have funded specific resource development projects. We've thankful for their help.

However, many of the stories that we cover, and the resources we develop, are not covered by any grant and are only partly covered by our support from ROSC. How do we do the rest of it? We have many volunteers, especially for Breath & Shadow. The rest of the time we either work for free, or is too often the case, are unable to cover the story or event. We're dissatisfied with this situation; we think our readers deserve the absolute best. So, we're asking you to pitch in. If you have a few dollars, or know a business that does, please help us expand our services to you
