It appears that both are directed toward "blind and visually impaired" technology users. The second, appears to be for people who want to be employed.) We need your help! If you are blind or visually impaired and are at least eighteen years old, we would like to learn how you feel about various technological advances. Your voice is very important to us! We would like to invite you to participate in a research study by filling out a brief survey. If you choose to participate, you will be asked about your opinions regarding various technological advances. The survey will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. You must be 18 years or older to participate. All study participants will be entered into a raffle drawing for one of four cash prizes ($250, $50, $50, $50). The Section and its regulations are established to ensure the accessibility of electronic technology and information purchased by the United States federal government, and to ensure that information which the public uses, such as web pages, is accessible. Section 508 mandates that federal agencies provide information to people with disabilities in a manner that is comparable to that provided to people without disabilities. The American Foundation for the Blind is one of the organizations advising the Access Board, the Federal agency responsible for establishing and maintaining accessibility standards for Federal purchasing, on improving the effectiveness of the regulations which implement Section 508. We would like to have some specific information from you to assist us as we participate in the work to update the regulations which address technology accessibility. We ask you to please take some time out of your busy schedule to describe your on-the-job experiences with regard to technology accessibility.
